This industry-leading, North-Hampshire based organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant (Fixed Assets) to join their team. Under the direction and leadership of a highly experienced line manager, who has an exceptional track record of developing high-performing teams in this area, you will ensure the accurate recording of assets, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the transformation of financial systems.

The key duties of this Senior Financial Accountant (Fixed Assets) role are as follows:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all fixed assets in compliance with legislation and accounting policies.
  • Maintain and reconcile your allocated areas of the fixed asset register, ensuring alignment with the general ledger.
  • Act as a principal contact for fixed asset-related queries, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert to process improvements, ensuring accuracy in coding and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and support external audit processes.
  • Provide financial support on business projects, including cost analysis, budgeting, and KPI development.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-value fixed asset portfolio, playing a key role in critical financial decision-making. You will have the chance to influence organisational change through process optimisation and system upgrades, all within a collaborative and inclusive environment. Furthermore, the role will officially be based out of their offices in Hampshire, although opportunities to work from home will be on offer for up to three days per week.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • In-depth knowledge of fixed asset and component accounting.
  • Ideally, a background working in property, real estate, social housing or equivalent. However candidates without this are still encouraged to apply.
  • Experience of supporting on financial process improvement projects, although this is not essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of bets practice in fixed-assets, and the drive to make change.
