Looking for a role where you can take the lead on income management and financial reporting? Are you confident working with multiple income streams and partnering with non-financial stakeholders? Do you want to be part of an organisation making a real difference? Then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are delighted to be recruiting a permanent Finance Manager for a growing charity. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team, supporting key decision-makers and ensuring financial processes run smoothly.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage payroll and expenses, ensuring accurate coding and budget alignment.
  • Oversee diverse income streams, reconciling financial and fundraising systems.
  • Partner with the fundraising team, handling queries and attending key meetings.
  • Support fundraising budget holders throughout the budgeting process.
  • Take ownership of debt collection, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Lead year-end preparations, compiling schedules and liaising with auditors.
  • Administer Gift Aid claims and reconcile income to the balance sheet.

This organisation offers a competitive salary of £45,000 FTE and is a four-day-per-week (30 hours) role, with flexibility around which days are worked, though Monday is essential. There is also flexibility to spread the hours across five shorter days. The role is based in Epsom, with the expectation of working in the office at least three days per week.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold an AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
  • Have experience in managing complex income streams and financial data analysis, ideally within the charity sector.
  • Be confident with financial systems and embrace technology.
  • Have experience in business partnering, particularly with fundraising teams or non-finance stakeholders.
  • Possess strong analytical skills with experience in data reconciliation.
  • Have knowledge of VAT and corporate tax (desirable but not essential).
  • Be a people person, with a proactive and hands-on approach.

Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so do not delay in applying!
