Management Accountant

Robertson Bell are excited to partner with a great social housing organisation to recruit a Management Accountant position on a 10 month maternity cover fixed term contract. In this role you will be leading in a variety of duties including working alongside one of the housing association’s valued entities and managing the month end process within your sect of the finance team.

In this Management Accountant role, you will:

• Take full ownership in month end duties, making sure to properly analyse and review postings in addition to completing monthly management accounts.
• Have an all encompassing stance in managing the budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for one of the organisations entities, conveying expert and high quality commentary alongside.
• Complete statutory accounts in addition to maintaining strong relationships with the external auditors, being the central point of contact for audit queries at a transactional level.  
• Working alongside the transactional team to identify any possible discrepancies that may arise.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong analytical experience at a transactional level, being well versed in leading on month end duties and management accounts.
• Worked with budgets and forecast before and is comfortable with running this process.
• Ideally studying towards a financial qualifications or fully AAT qualified.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
