Robertson Bell are working with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Senior Payroll Officer for a 3-6 month contract. The main responsibilities will be:
- Assist and lead in end-to-end processes of the Council’s payroll operations.
- Ensure each stage of the payroll process is executed efficiently, complying with statutory regulations and council policies.
- Provide advice to staff on occupational pension schemes.
- Support the Payroll Manager in running the payroll.
- Ensure delivery of a high-quality, responsive, and efficient payroll service.
The role joins a high performing payroll team and has the potential to be extended. The council operate on a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an experienced Payroll Officer.
- Have worked in a local authority previously.
- Have used Oracle Cloud.
