Interim Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell are working with a large, recognisable, Public Sector organisation to recruit an interim Financial Accountant on an initial three month contract starting between early March and April. 

This is a fully remote role that can be worked from anywhere within the UK. 

The interim Financial Accountant will be responsible for; 

• Delivering consolidated statutory accounts to tight timescales and in line with the relevant accounting standards. This work will be carried out as part of a wider team. 
• Scrutinising financial information provided by the groups entities, challenging data and accounting judgements where needed. 
• Liaising with the auditors to answer queries and provide samples where needed. 

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant with demonstrable finanical accounting experience, or a background in audit practice. 
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Be a competent user of MS Excel and accounting technology. 

Prior experience preparing consolidated accounts and working in the Public Sector is highly desirable but not essential.
