Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Manager ready to take on a high-impact interim role? Can you lead a transactional finance function, build strong stakeholder relationships, and improve efficiency in a fast-paced environment? Do you have a proven track record of holding high standards and effective Accounts Payable processes?

My client, a well-established not-for-profit organisation, is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to join their finance team on a six-month contract. This pivotal role will provide clear leadership to the AP Officer and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure timely invoice approvals and payments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Accounts Payable function with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely payment approvals.
  • Holding stakeholders to account and challenging delays in the approval process.
  • Delivering training and “train the trainer” sessions to improve adherence to processes.
  • Producing clear performance reports on AP activity for senior leaders.
  • Driving process improvements and ensuring a quick, reliable service to the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and is ready to make an immediate impact. You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative team that values accountability and efficiency.

The role is based in East London, with the expectation of working three days per week in the office.

To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

  • Substantial experience in Accounts Payable management, including leading a transactional finance function while also “rolling up your sleeves” to ensure invoices are actioned.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively, with the grit and determination to get through backlogs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of process improvement in AP.
  • Experience producing performance reports and managing team training.

This role is an immediate need, and applications will be reviewed as they are received. Don’t miss out on the chance to lead and deliver a high-performing Accounts Payable function!
