In this Income Officer role, you will:

  • Proactively manage rent arrears and income recovery on a weekly basis throughout the month, ensuring timely interventions and effective resolutions.
  • Contact tenants via calls, emails, and home visits to ensure they can meet their rent obligations and provide support to maximize their income.
  • Produce and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to support reporting and ongoing work, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Guide cases through to court action when necessary, ensuring adherence to all legal protocols with thorough documentation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree is preferred; however, equivalent skills and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in tenancy support is essential, preferably within the housing sector.
  • Previous experience in a role encompassing the responsibilities of tenancy support.
  • A background in debt recovery, debt management, credit control, or accounts receivable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with tenants and colleagues.
