In this Financial Accountant position, you will:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of initial systems and processes to drive efficiencies across the organisation.
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors as required to answer queries and provide important information.
  • Assist in the production of statutory accounts and work with the wider team to ensure all documentation is compliant and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data by meticulously reconciling the balance sheet accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them promptly to maintain financial transparency and compliance.

They are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their finance team and contribute to the effective financial management of our institution. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a finance role, having gained exposure to end-to-end audit and the production of statutory accounts, ideally within the education sector.
  • Possess an in depth understanding of financial accounting and have an understanding of financial compliance.
  • Have strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software’s.
  • Have an understanding of, and proven experience posting VAT returns and reconciling the balance sheet.
