This permanent Financial Accountant will report into a Financial Accounting Manager and will manage one direct report. You will have full responsibility for ensuring a strong financial control environment and will manage the audit process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial controls to ensure timely and precise preparation of quarterly and annual statutory accounts for group entities.
- Lead the interim and final audits, performing thorough analytical reviews of financial statements.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and group investments monthly, maintaining an up-to-date statutory account schedule.
- Assist in preparing and submitting all regulatory returns, including FVA and filings with Companies House.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for group control accounts.
- Develop quarterly financial health reports for group entities, providing the Management and Audit & Risk Committee with a comprehensive overview of associated risks.
- Drive continuous performance improvements within the financial accounting and control function.
This Financial Accountant will be based in the organisations central London office with hybrid working on offer. Please note our client is particularly interested in seeing candidates from a practice background.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Recognised accounting qualification.
- Extensive experience with regulatory financial returns.
- Proven track record in managing interim and year-end audits, with effective coordination with auditors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse complex data and develop data-driven solutions.
- Experience auditing complex groups or experience producing consolidated accounts.
