Are you a proactive Finance Business Partner who thrives on making a tangible impact? Do you enjoy working closely with non-financial stakeholders to drive insight and accountability? Ready to join a community-focused organisation with a strong social mission?
Robertson Bell is proud to be partnering with a leading social housing provider to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a financially robust organisation with a community driven mantra and delivering services that change lives.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner and working closely with the Group Director of Finance, you’ll take the lead on financial support for support services functions – including HR, Payroll, Finance, and Homeownership – with a clear remit to challenge, support and add value.
Key responsibilities:
Produce monthly management accounts for support service departments.
Own budgeting and forecasting processes: liaise with budget holders, lead meetings, provide insightful commentary and drive accountability.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and payroll reconciliations.
Deliver financial analysis and decision-support to key stakeholders, particularly around value for money.
Support group-wide projects and process improvements, including better use of systems and data.
Contribute to statutory reporting and year-end consolidation across 4–5 entities using Excel and Open Accounts.
You’ll be part of an organisation that genuinely values its people—from the supportive, kind and collaborative culture to excellent benefits:
28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
Generous pension scheme and life cover
Access to two holiday homes for staff use
Study support for those completing their qualification
A flexible hybrid working model – three days in the office
This is a place where finance is respected, collaboration is key, and your ideas and input will be encouraged.
Be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or finalist at Stage 3.
Have solid experience in management accounting and financial reporting (2-3 years+), ideally in a housing or commercial environment.
Demonstrate strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, graphing, modelling).
Be confident consolidating accounts and working with multi-entity structures.
Be a natural business partner – able to explain finance to non-finance staff, ask the right questions, and drive better decision-making.
Bring a solution-focused, change-ready attitude, with the confidence to challenge and improve the status quo.
If you’re ready to step into a high-impact Finance Business Partner role with real variety, visibility and purpose, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today or reach out to Robertson Bell to find out more.
