Robertson Bell are partnering with a motivational charity are recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to play a crucial role in managing our debt collection and credit control processes. In this position, you will contribute to the financial health of their organisation while supporting their mission to serve the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively pursue overdue invoices through effective communication with customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely issuance of invoices, collaborating with service teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to facilitate smooth payment processes and address queries.
  • Offer structured plans for customers facing financial difficulties, monitoring adherence to agreements.
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Assess creditworthiness and set appropriate limits to minimize financial risk.
  • Prepare detailed reports on outstanding debts and payment patterns to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and best practices in data handling.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and communication logs.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of credit management and debt recovery processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment.
