Operating for over 170 years, King’s College Hospital is one of the country’s leading NHS Foundation Trusts. Providing local services and operating as one of the capital’s busiest teaching hospitals, the organisation has a vision to become the best medical research campus in Europe.
The organisation has the freedom to build formal links with its local patient and staff communities, placing its work right at the core of the people it serves from Lambeth and Southwark to Lewisham and Bromley.
Robertson Bell has recently worked with the organisation to fulfil the role of a Band 6 Management Accountant.
King’s College Hospital is a reputable leader in the sector, allowing for our consultants to design, coordinate and implement a strategic and highly effective campaign for this particular role.
As the client had previously struggled to find a strong candidate for the Business Support Analyst role, we spent time with the Head of Financial Management in order to learn more about the required profile for the role.
These conversations saw our consultants re-branding the role to that of a Management Accountant; a position more widely recognised by finance professionals. In addition to the targeted advertising campaigns put in place, our search went further than our talent pipeline, leveraging network contacts and industry professionals that were open to temporary work and were available to start at short notice.
Following impressive traction from the targeted campaigns and clearer role description, we carried out rigorous interviews and competency testing before presenting the best candidates in our shortlist to the client.
Although Robertson Bell was competing against multiple agencies, we recruited the successful candidate for this position, after completing a permanent search process and then pivoting to secure a suitable interim candidate.
